ORIGINS
Transportes Salas Simó was created by the initiative of two historical figures in the oil business in the Balearic Islands: Mr. Manuel Salas Garau and Mr. Sebastián Simó Oliver.
Using the knowledge acquired during their long professional career in independent oil companies, they decided to join forces and embark on a new stage: in 1960 they created a modern company, Transportes Salas Simó, a company adapted to emerging needs.
After a shareholder restructuring in 1998, Transportes Salas Simó moved to new headquarters, setting new social objectives and challenges. 2002 was the "Year of Quality" for Salas Simó. With this commitment, a series of projects and actions are launched, based on the European model of total quality management.
HERE AND NOW
Currently Transportes Salas Simó continues to face new business challenges and is committed to diversification and safety. We also take advantage of the business opportunities presented by new technological advances.
In the same way, we invest in technology in order to improve distribution and management processes.
Thus, after constant modernisation and adaptation to new developments in the sector, the company is a symbol of a spirit of renewal, confidence and security.
A GREAT FUTURE AHEAD
However, rapid technological advances, the progressive opening of its market to free competition and new customer demands have led to a situation of permanent change. The traditional company no longer exists and Transportes Salas Simó is therefore redefining its role by opening up new avenues for growth in areas such as communication and technology.
We voluntarily integrate social and environmental concerns in our management, commercial operations and in our relations with our interlocutors. We consider CSR an inherent aspect of our culture and way of working.
